Mojo Stays Pty Ltd ("Mojo Stays", "we", "us") manages furnished homes and apartments on the Gold Coast, Queensland. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. We aim to handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
1. What we collect
The information we collect depends on how you deal with us.
Enquiries: your name, email address, phone number, business name, role, the number of guests, preferred start date, expected length of stay, any project or reference name, and anything you tell us in your message.
Stays: guest names and contact details, identity documents for verification, booking and invoice details, and our communications with you.
Our website: information about your device and browser, the pages you view and how you arrived at them, collected through cookies and similar technology.
2. How we collect it
We collect information directly from you, for example through our enquiry form, by email or by phone. We may also receive guest details from the person or organisation making a booking on their behalf, and we collect some information automatically when you use our website.
3. Why we collect and use it
To respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote and manage your booking and stay.
To verify the identity of guests before arrival, for the safety and security of our properties, neighbours and guests.
To issue invoices, take payment and keep the records we need by law.
To communicate with you about your enquiry, booking or stay.
To improve our website and services.
To send you information about our properties and services, where you have agreed or the law otherwise allows.
4. Identity documents
Where a guest is staying with us, we ask for identity documents so that we can confirm who will be in the property. We use these only for verification and for the safety and security purposes described in this policy, and we store them securely. We do not use them for marketing.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where needed to run our business, with:
service providers that host our website, manage enquiries and customer records, send our emails and messages, manage bookings and guest communications, verify identity and process payments;
professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers;
the owners or managers of the property, where needed for your stay; and
government or law enforcement bodies, where the law requires or permits.
6. Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers store or access information outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure they handle your information appropriately.
7. Cookies and tracking
Our website and enquiry form use cookies and similar technology to make the site work, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use it. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you may see a cookie notice when you first visit. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work.
8. Marketing and messages
When you submit an enquiry, we will contact you about that enquiry. If you agree, we may also send you information about our properties and services. Every marketing message includes a way to opt out, and you can also opt out at any time by contacting us.
9. Security and how long we keep information
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires. After that, we delete it or remove anything that identifies you.
10. Access and correction
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time, and normally within 30 days.

If you have a concern about how we handle your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on our website, with the effective date at the top.
